Decaf doesn't have to be boring. The Mexican Esmeralda is processed with ethyl acetate — a naturally occurring compound, not a lab solvent — which keeps the flavor intact in a way most decaf processes don't. Light roasts are surprisingly bright and citrusy. Medium roasts lean smooth chocolate and floral. Go dark for a bold, semi-sweet finish. A decaf worth actually being excited about. Best results in medium to dark roast.
You probably haven't had a Zambian coffee before. You should fix that. The Nsunzu Estate sits at the foot of its namesake mountain in Zambia's Northern Province — Rainforest Alliance certified, hand-picked, and grown between 1400 and 1650 meters. What that means in the cup: bright citrus at lighter roasts, rich chocolate and spice in the middle, and a clean, full-bodied finish if you go dark. It's a versatile African bean that doesn't ask much from you and delivers every time. Best results in light to medium roast.
